Artist Statement
My work seeks to address themes related to the human condition and I find nostalgia to be the most digestible way in doing so. I never choose a medium first when creating, that placement in the process always belongs to my initial idea. The medium is always decided once the concept is solid, and that can be anything from making a simple illustration to coding an entire website. I'm drawn to late 90's-early 2000's online spaces and video games which has in turn sparked my interest in net art and new media art as a whole. Within the current modern landscape of the Internet, the creative freedom that was once so abundant in its wild west days has seemingly been pushed away from the center. Through my artwork, I want to encourage fellow artists to bring the chaotic good that was lost from that era back online and into their creations.
